Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health

Improving the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is a priority. Our approach is based on partnership, mutual respect, and cultural understanding to achieve meaningful and sustainable health outcomes for these communities.

Annual Health Assessment

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals are eligible for a complimentary annual health check, along with free follow-up care as required. This proactive approach assists in identifying potential health risks early and preventing the onset of chronic conditions. Our aim is to promote preventive care and empower individuals to take control of their health through timely screenings and interventions to achieve better health outcomes.

If you have a chronic condition, the health check can also help ensure you are receiving the appropriate medication and care. You can also discuss any concerns or seek assistance from your doctor during the health check. The annual health check can also provide referrals to up to 10 complimentary follow-up services, such as specialists, counsellors, or services focused on preventing chronic conditions. Your health and wellbeing are our priority, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

Practice Announcement

We understand the pressure that rising living costs are putting on many families. That's why, with recent government policy changes, we are transitioning to bulk billing of all consults from 03/11/2025. This will help reduce the financial burden on you and your family, and ensure continued access to high-quality care.

As we have not opted to be a full bulk billing practice, procedures will continue to be privately billed.

If you have any questions, please speak with our friendly reception team.
